Neste doente, devemos procurar reduzir ao máximo o risco hemorrágico.
Isto pode ser feito com medidas como:
1) Controlo adequado da hipertensão arterial;
2) Suspensão de outros fármacos perturbadores da hemóstase que não estejam indicados (como AAS, corticoides ou anti-inflamatórios;
3) Consideração do uso profilático de inibidor da bomba de protões.
